This EP was originally a demo album when the Pixies were trying to get a record deal. Good stuff. Like some other bands, the Pixies rarely have title tracks on their albums, instead using a phrase from a song as the album title. You can hear this album's title in "Levitate Me". |

Pretty decent, though I don't seem to listen to it very often. The last couple tracks are a bit of a letdown. This album's title is from "Oh, My Golly". The untitled track is Black Francis's side of a conversation with someone in the studio control room. Funny stuff. |

Except for "Debaser", "Wave", and "Here Comes Your Man", I have a hard time getting into this album, even though I only dislike a couple of tracks. This album's title is part of "Mr. Grieves". |

Hot damn! Love this one... There's not a song by the Pixies that I like more than "All Over the World". Listen to "Hang Wire" to hear this album's title. "Stormy Weather" consists entirely of six words—seven or eight if you count "whoa" or "oh". Hmmm, "Havalina" isn't anything to do with wild pigs (javelinas), is it? |

A handful of good tracks here, but I can't really get into most of it. The end of the CD is kind of a letdown. Whoa, a title track. And the album/song title is not taken from the song's lyrics. Did I say that "All Over the World" is my favourite? I guess I did. Well, "Letter to Memphis" is mighty close. This is the last album of new material so far. Will that change? I've considered legally changing my name to "Jefrey" (with one 'f') since hearing "Space." |

I haven't listened to this in years. Disc 1 is just a "greatest hits" thing and contains nothing I didn't already have. The live disc is ok. |

Complete 'B' Sides(2001)

Collection of B-sides and alternate mixes from singles. I'm not too big on tracks 2-4 or 8-10, but the rest is excellent or fun or both. What's with the manta-ray fixation? (Normally, I wouldn't call two songs on the same subject a fixation, but I'll make an exception in this case, since it's such an odd subject.) |
